Hank 2.jpg

With a 60-year career in the spotlight, there is an abundance of archive material of Hank, including movie and television appearances, concerts, photos and countless magazine interviews.

There is also a wealth of musicians, past and present, who cite Hank as one of their major influences, including George Harrison and the late great godfather of metal, Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, who said it was The Shadows that inspired him to first pick up a guitar.

Cornell Story

Denis was commissioned to work with Hank Marvin to design and create a custom 'Hank Marvin' Cornell amplifier in the 1990's. The result was four amplifiers as head and cabinet configuration (2 x 12) in blue and black, Andy Sankey worked with Hank Marvin and Denis to ensure the amplifiers reflected Hank's older Matchless amp resulting in some unconventional approaches.

Testimonial

"Love then all, but the '97 was indeed a pleasant surprise, early in the tour Hank used some prototype Denis Cornell Hank Marvin amps with the also new Q2.
What a sound"

"1997 was without doubt the best sound, and maybe the best tour as well - a great shame the Strat sound wasn't set up like that for the Shads Final Tour DVD."
